Giving
Scholarships:
An Investment in Students
The College of Human Sciences currently has scholarship endowments totaling more than $7 million; however, we need to more than double this amount to meet the needs of our rapidly growing undergraduate and graduate enrollments.
Educational Technology
Funding is needed to provide the latest technologies in our classrooms and laboratories. We also need technical staff to maintain computer and other technology support for faculty, staff, and students. A $2 million gift is needed to make this a reality.
The Dean’s Fund for Excellence
This fund supports student and faculty academic success. Currently, state dollars provide 34% of the money needed to operate Texas Tech University; the remaining 66% must be raised through private donors, grants, and other sources.
Hotel and Conference Center with Educational Facility
Tourism has emerged as the largest industry in the state of Texas, and one of the leading economic forces in the nation. Securing a permanent on-campus facility for Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management majors has been a goal since the program’s inception.
Giving Opportunities
Significant private donations to Texas Tech have provided millions of dollars to enhance the learning experience of our students, endow several nationally recognized research initiatives by our outstanding faculty, and provide funds for construction of state-of-the-art facilities on our five campuses in Lubbock, Amarillo, El Paso, and Odessa
The College of Human Sciences has raised over $20 million dollars in the last 5 years, both in cash and planned gifts
There are over $300 million dollars worth of additional needs that include Student Scholarships, Unrestricted Funds, Building Projects & Faculty Support. Please read further about these needs to the left.
